Ayurvedic Cooking Course

Sattwik, delicious ,healthy and nutritious food according to body type, This course is for anyone who wants to discover the basics of working with Ayurveda herbs and spices. This course was developed so that everyday people could begin to enjoy the simplicity of working with recipes that include the use of spices and herbs often found in the meals of India and from Ayurveda dietary and healing practices.

What am I going to get from this course?
By the end of this course you will have a good idea of the basics of Ayurvedic cooking. You will also have some great new recipes and ways to enjoy vegetables.

» 7:30am – 8.30am Yoga class (optional)
» 9:00am Breakfast.
» 9:30 am - 12 pm Theory class
» 12pm -12.30pm break
» 30pm – 1pm question answer session
» 1:00 pm Lunch
» 2:30 pm to 3.30pm Ayurvedic cooking class
» 3:30pm - 3:45pm Break
» 45pm – 5.15pm Ayurvedic cooking class

Day 1
Theory - Fundamental Principles of Ayurveda
Practical - Learning about different spices

Day 2
Theory - Dietary principles of Ayurveda, Introduction of rasa and gunas, Knowing about Ayurvedic kitchen and ingredient
Practical - Making pure ghee

Day 3
Theory - Diet for different body type (Vata, Pitta & Kapha)
Practical - Food preparation according to body type

Day 4
Theory - Diet according to seasons
Practical - Breakfast recipes

Day 5
Theory - Herbs and spices for treatment of diseases
Practical - Preparation of herbal teas/ decoction

Day 6
Theory - Making dietary regime and lifestyle plan.
Practical - Lunch recipes

Day 7
Dinner recipes
Question answer session
